Internships
New Revolution Now Institute, Inc., a non-profit,
party-neutral organization created to support and advocate for core
foundational American principles,
perform
educational activities, outreach and organizing, legislative activism and
endorsement, requires volunteer interns year
round. Although there is occasional clerical work, interns are primarily
responsible for performing substantive research, analysis, training, organizing
and outreach as we endeavor to fulfill our mission. An internship at the New
Revolution Now is a unique opportunity in this regard. As part of the program,
interns work closely with NRN executives gaining unmatched exposure to the inter workings
of the conservative grassroots movement.
New Revolution Now immediately assigns its interns to substantial projects, from which they enlighten, empower and engage American citizens. Projects can be conducted virtually anywhere across Texas and the U.S.A. Interns are required to participate in NRN’s working group meetings and their local grassroots events. When possible, NRN’s intern program encourages its team to attend hearings, meetings and conference calls on local, state and national levels. Internships at New Revolution Now will prove an excellent first step toward a career in political engagement, grassroots organizing and public policy development and advocacy. New Revolution Now is a premier grassroots organization that has lead the conservative grassroots movement in Texas. Who? College students, both undergraduate and graduate, and recent graduates. Skills Interns need formidable writing, critical thinking and communications skills, a good understanding of computers and Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to perform Internet-based research and outreach. Hours A minimum commitment of 15 hours/week during the school year and 25 hours/week during the summer is required, but hours and days are flexible, as are start dates and duration of internship. This is an unpaid, high value internship. Interns will be supplied with NRN email and telephone accounts along with business cards and a contact and blog site.
